David Garrett is a German-American classical violinist, born in 1980, known for his transition from classical prodigy to crossover artist, blending classical music with pop and rock. He began playing violin at age four, studied at the Juilliard School with Itzhak Perlman, and gained fame with albums like Rock Symphonies. Garrett also starred as Niccolò Paganini in the biopic The Devil's Violinist and holds the world record for the fastest performance of "Flight of the Bumblebee".
